Change history

Contributors

Every task keeps a history: each edit, completion and change, newest first and grouped by day. Open a task and tap the history button in its toolbar.

Each entry reads as a plain sentence, such as “Chris completed this task”, with the specific field changes shown underneath. Your own changes read as “You”. A task nobody has touched since you made it shows an empty history rather than an error.

On a shared list, when something has moved and nobody remembers moving it. “Who changed the date?” is a question that used to end in a conversation and now ends in a screen.

Non-human changes are labelled and kept distinct from each other: Marvelist AI for the built-in assistant, a connected app for anything acting through the AI connector, and Marvelist for the system itself. So an edit you do not recognise can be traced to the right place rather than blamed on a person.

A single task’s history Free
A whole list’s activity feed, from the list menu Premium
Your own activity across everything, from your profile Premium

Per-object history is free for everyone. The two feeds that aggregate across many objects are the Premium part.

History on a Vault-protected list is recorded but redacted. You still see that something happened and who did it, marked Hidden (Vault list), without the contents.

That is consistent with what Vault protection is for. The fact of a change is not sensitive; quoting the changed text in a history entry would undo the encryption you turned on.
