Events
Events are Marvelist’s answer to planning something with people: a guest list, RSVPs, and a public page guests can respond on without downloading anything or creating an account.
- Creating an event covers the basics.
- Guests and households covers adding people, plus-ones and categories.
- Event parts covers events with several parts, such as a ceremony and a reception, each with its own RSVP.
- Schedule covers the run-of-show every guest sees.
- Questions and responses covers asking guests things and reading the answers.
- Invites and RSVP links covers getting the invitation out and tracking who has replied.
- Co-organisers and lists covers sharing the organising.
What guests see
Section titled “What guests see”A public RSVP page. They open a link, respond, answer any questions you asked, and that is it. No app, no account.
You see attendance counts, plus-ones and answers update live.
Free and Premium
Section titled “Free and Premium”The free plan has two limits. Premium removes both.
| Free | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| Events | 2 | Unlimited |
| Guests per event | 50 | Unlimited |
The Events screen shows how many of your two you have used.
The limit counts events you own, including archived ones. Events other people have shared with you do not use up your two.
Everything inside an event is the same on both plans. Two free events are fully featured rather than cut-down, so the free plan covers a wedding or a party comfortably. It is running several at once, or a guest list past fifty, that needs Premium.
The limit follows the event’s owner
Section titled “The limit follows the event’s owner”Both limits are checked against the subscription of whoever owns the event, not whoever is adding to it.
So a co-organiser on somebody else’s Premium event can add guests past fifty, because the owner’s Premium applies. And if you own the event on the free plan, your co-organisers hit your limit at fifty however many of them have Premium themselves.
If a guest will not save on a shared event, this is usually why, and it is the event’s owner who needs to upgrade.
