Reminders and Calendar
Two places where Marvelist meets the apps already on your iPhone.
Migrating from iOS Reminders
Section titled “Migrating from iOS Reminders”Settings → Data Migration → Migrate iOS Reminders brings your existing Reminders into Marvelist, so switching does not mean retyping years of lists.
Marvelist asks for permission to read Reminders, which iOS prompts for the first time. It reads them; it does not empty them. Your Reminders lists stay where they are, which is what you want while you are deciding whether the move has stuck.
Worth doing in one sitting rather than in pieces. Running a migration twice gives you two copies of the same tasks, and cleaning that up by hand is worse than the migration was.
Adding an event to your calendar
Section titled “Adding an event to your calendar”An event has a date and usually a location, and Add to Calendar on the event menu puts it in your own calendar with both.
This is for you rather than your guests. Guests get the date from their invitation and can add it themselves; this is so the thing you are organising also appears where you look for your own commitments.
Sharing files out
Section titled “Sharing files out”Exports leave through the standard iOS share sheet, so an exported guest list or a generated PDF can go straight to Mail, Files, Messages or anywhere else that accepts a file.
The traffic runs one way. Marvelist does not add itself to other apps’ share sheets, so there is no “share to Marvelist” from Safari; to capture something quickly, use Siri or a Shortcut.
