Schedule
A schedule is the running order of the day: arrival, ceremony, dinner, whatever your event is made of. It appears on every guest’s RSVP invitation, so people know what is happening and when without asking you.
Build it from Manage Event → Schedule.
Adding items
Section titled “Adding items”Each item has a title, and optionally a start and end time, a location and a description. Items can be reordered and edited at any time, and changes sync in the background and work offline.
Only the title is required. An item that is just “Drinks” in the right position is more use to a guest than nothing, and you can put times on it later once you know them.
Everyone sees the same schedule
Section titled “Everyone sees the same schedule”This is the important difference from event parts: a schedule is display-only, and identical for every invitee. There is no RSVP against a schedule item and no way to show one item to some guests and not others.
| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| Tell everyone what happens when | Schedule |
| Invite different people to different bits, and count them separately | Event parts |
| Both | Both, on the same event |
Both together is a normal setup. Parts decide who is invited to what and give you the headcounts; the schedule tells the people who are coming what the day looks like.
Writing one people will read
Section titled “Writing one people will read”Keep it to things a guest needs in order to turn up in the right place at the right time. Setup, suppliers and your own preparation belong on the event’s prep checklist, which guests never see.
Locations earn their place when the event moves between venues. If everything is in one building, the times alone are enough.
