Invites and RSVP links

Contributors

Send invitations by email, individually or in bulk. Each guest gets a link that identifies them, so replies come back attached to the right person and households reply once for everyone.

Every event also has a public RSVP link that anyone can use, which is the one to put in a group chat or on a card. It can be switched off entirely from the event screen, which closes the public page without affecting individual invitations.

Guests do not need a Marvelist account and do not need to install anything. They open the link in a browser, find their own name, respond for themselves and their party, and answer your questions.

Manage Event → Customise RSVP Page sets the background and accent colour guests see. Six presets are built in:

Marvelist Midnight Ivory & Gold
Blush Sage Slate

You can also set custom colours if none of them suit.

Keep contrast in mind rather than picking on the swatch alone. Guests open these on phones, outdoors, often in a hurry, and a pale accent on a pale background is the one thing that stops people finding the button.

Removing the Marvelist logo from the page is a Premium feature. The theme itself is available on both plans.

The public link can be regenerated. Doing so invalidates the old one, which is what you want if a link has gone somewhere it should not have.

Anyone who already replied keeps their response; only the link changes.

The RSVP summary shows attending, declined, pending and plus-ones. With event parts you get headcounts per part as well.

Pending is the number that matters as the date approaches, because it is your chase list.

You can reset RSVPs for the event, which puts everyone back to pending.

It clears each guest’s status, their plus-one numbers, their dietary requirements, their answers to your questions and their per-part responses. It keeps the guests themselves, their event part entitlements, and their links, so nobody needs re-inviting and no link stops working.
