Creating an account

Marvelist accounts are Tophhie Cloud accounts, the same identity used across Tophhie Cloud services. Creating one is free and takes a moment.

Signing up

Sign up in the app or at app.marvelist.co.uk.

Either way you are handed to Tophhie Cloud to sign in, and returned to Marvelist once you have. There is no separate Marvelist password: the account, the password and the two-factor settings all belong to Tophhie Cloud, and Marvelist never sees your password.

One account covers every device. Sign in on your phone and in a browser with the same Tophhie Cloud account and you are in the same Marvelist.

Older Apple, Google and Microsoft sign-ins

Marvelist used to offer sign-in with Apple, Google and Microsoft. Those are legacy: new accounts are Tophhie Cloud accounts, and that is what you sign in with now.

If you have had Marvelist a while, your account may still carry one of those older identities. Nothing you need to do about it, and nothing is lost. It is worth knowing only because it explains why the sign-in screen may not look like the one you remember.

Signing in on another device

Sign in with the same Tophhie Cloud account. Your lists, tasks and events appear once the app has synced.

Keeping the account safe

Two things worth doing on day one:

• Turn on two-factor authentication, in your Tophhie Cloud account. It asks for a code as well as your password, so a stolen password alone is not enough.
• Turn on App Lock in the iOS app, under Settings → Security, so Marvelist itself asks for a passcode or biometrics even when the phone is already unlocked.

Managing the account itself

Your name, email address, password and two-factor settings live in your Tophhie Cloud account, reachable from Marvelist at Profile → Manage my account. What stays inside Marvelist is your Marvelist profile and its settings. See Your account.
